I was born and raised in Israel in a very artistic environment. My mom is a ceramic artist and both of my grandmothers were artists. As a child I was always drawn to the arts and spent hours working with clay, drawing and painting.
I was admitted to the Architecture Department of the Wizo School of Art in Haifa in 1991 and continued my studies at the Welsh School of Architecture. I graduated in 1997 at the Top 2% of my class, with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Architecture degrees. Studying Architecture in Israel and Europe exposed me to different schools of thoughts and a wide variety of architectural styles. Through my European exposure, I have learned to uniquely blend ideas of eclectic modern styles with historic elements from various eras.
I started my professional career in New York in at Schuman, Lichtenstein, Calman & Efron, a large architecture firm in New York City where I was working on converting office space and lofts into residential apartments. I was attracted to the challenge of converting utilitarian spaces into homes and following projects from the drawing board to final touches of selecting color concepts and materials.
In 1998 I designed – a 22,000 sq. ft. winery in Israel. The Tabor Winery is a complex of wine production and visitor center that are centered around two separate courtyards. I used materials native to the Galilee, where the winery is located; thereby creating an environmentally-balances complex that is well blended in its Mediterranean surrounding. The building is designed to take advantage of the climate and the adjacent scenery. The Tabor Winery produced its first vintage in 1999 and today it is one of the leading boutique wineries in the country.
After moving to New Jersey in 2003 I worked as a freelance architect on an addition to a house in Short Hills. This project led to a new working experience with Thomas Baio Architects, where I worked as a Project Manager with responsibility for design and drawing production for residential clients in Short Hills and Livingston. I was handling projects as small expansions to $1M additions. This area is a very excluded area of New Jersey.
For few years I was working on my own investment in Real-estate, in houses that need be brought back to life and function. Updating, renovating and adding room and other function as needed.
And now back HOME in Israel since 2014 (after 20 years) I can bring together my Israeli and American style creating a living space and dream homes in Israel.
My goal is to bring together excellent design and style, cutting edge materials, vibrant and engaging use of color, while employing environmentally-friendly green technology and materials wherever possible.
I bring to my design a practical approach, an open mind and creativity, enabling me to help my clients achieve their goals based on their taste, budget and DREAMS. As a mother of 3 children, a practical person and a cook (let’s create that kitchen design you have dreamed of), I understand your daily needs and crazy life and want you to do it all- in a home that reflects your best self.
